# How to Get API Keys

Obtaining your API keys is a simple and essential step that enables you to access the full range of features offered by Ottu. This short guide will walk you through the process of acquiring your unique API keys.

1. #### Add New API Key

   Go to Ottu Dashboard > Administration Panel > API Auth > API keys, then click on `add API key`

2. #### Provide the Required Information

   Fill the required fields and click `save`.

* #### Fields Description

  Name: *<mark style="color:red;">**`required`**</mark>* Max length 50.\
  Revoke: *<mark style="color:blue;">**`optional`**</mark>* once checked, the API key can not be used anymore. \
  Expires: *<mark style="color:blue;">**`optional`**</mark>* once the API gets expired, it can not be used anymore.

3. #### Create New API Key

   Click on the recently generated API key, which is designated as “Example” in this instance.

The API keys, both [private](https://docs.ottu.com/developer/authentication#private-key-api-key) and [public](https://docs.ottu.com/developer/authentication#public-key), will be displayed as illustrated in the following figure.
